Wedding and event pricing in Walkerville: an affordable Windsor wedding venue with five-star service
A follow-up to our post on hosting your wedding at the Historic Walkerville Distillery House: here is exactly what stays, events and weddings cost, what's included, and what we ask of you, so there are no surprises.
The short version
Stays: 5 or 6 guests per house based on the property you reserve. Extra guests are $50 each per day, including visitors and vendors such as photographers, hairdressers and makeup artists.
Events: From $500 for up to 10 guests and $1,000 for 11 to 20, plus cleaning ($300 and $500). Cleaning for a single home is $100, or $200 if you go over its maximum.
Weddings: Garden weddings from $2,500 for up to 50 seated guests (75 max).
Quiet hours: 11 PM.
Payment: Extra guests and services are paid 3 months in advance.

An affordable Windsor wedding, with five-star service
We don't know of a more affordable place to host a wedding in Windsor, especially in Walkerville. Our team brings world-class hospitality experience from hosting events in Toronto, New York City, London, Barcelona, Brazil and Ibiza, and we give every couple the same five-star service, whether you're planning a small, intimate wedding or a larger celebration.
And the location is hard to beat. Our homes are steps from Willistead Manor, the Detroit River and Walkerville's bars and restaurants, including Wineology and Nico Walkerville. Caesars Windsor and the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel are about a five-minute drive away.
Renting a house
Each house has a maximum occupancy of 5 or 6 guests, depending on the home. Past the maximum, it's $50 per additional guest, per day, whether they sleep over, visit, or come into the home to work, such as a photographer, hairdresser or makeup artist.
Hosting an event
For a celebration with at least four couples sleeping over, we recommend renting both Monmouth houses. They're connected and together make up the Historic Walkerville Distillery House, with two kitchens, two patios, two barbecues and a large private garden. Event pricing is added to your overnight stay, and a cleaning fee is added on top:

We can set up a medium or large tent in our garden that comfortably seats 50 guests, with a maximum of 75. Tents are priced by size.
Renting a single home? If you rent only one house, whether the Argyle House or one of the Monmouth houses, the cleaning fee is $100 when you stay within its maximum of 5 or 6 guests (depending on the property), and $200 per house if your group goes over the maximum.
Payment for extra guests and services is required 3 months in advance.
Extras, each priced separately
- Photography and video. Provided by Radar Photography, which updates its camera gear every year. Its current kit includes a Sony Alpha camera, a DJI Osmo 360 camera for immersive 360 video, and the DJI Avata 2 first-person-view (FPV) drone for flowing aerial shots.
- Tesla black car service. Wedding arrivals, airport runs and rides home. Limited in winter, back in full in the spring.
- Bartending.
- Catering.

Weddings in Walkerville
- Celebrating at Willistead Manor? Many of our guests hold their wedding at Willistead Manor and stay with us, with photo shoots at the Argyle House or on Monmouth.
- Walkerville Brewery. Just down the street, it's another local option for your celebration, with your guests staying at our houses.
- Separate houses for each party. In-laws, bridesmaids and the groom's party can each have their own house.
Before you book
- Be upfront about your guests. Tell us your real guest count, both overnight and on site.
- Share your expectations. The more we know, the better we can plan your day.
- Respect the house rules. These are homes in a residential heritage neighbourhood.
